Setting up Passkeys

Learn how to enable fast, secure and phishing-resistant passwordless logins for your ShareMyXray account. You can add a passkey for as many devices as you wish, although you won't be able to re-register an existing device. You'll need to remove the old passkey before re-registering.

Adding a passkey

  • Click Add Passkey button to register your current device
    • Your browser will then use your default secure enclave or password manager to create and register a passkey.
    • Windows Hello, Google Password Manager, iCloud Keychain, Yubikeys and Password managers such as Bitwarden, Lastpass, 1Password are all supported
  • Follow the steps to approve creation of your passkey, once registered it will appear in the table.

Removing a passkey

  • To remove a passkey, simply click the bin icon on the corresponding row to remove it.
  • The table will update showing the remaining enabled passkeys
    • _WARNING - Removing a passkey will require you to use a password and corresponding 2FA to sign on that device in future

Login with passkeys

  • To login with a passkey, simply click the Sign in with passkey button. We will then search your device for a registered passkey and log you in automatically. No username or password required.
